Website visitor identification software

VisitorDetector is website visitor identification software for B2B teams. It names the companies that visit your site, records what each one read, scores their interest from 0 to 100 and delivers the warmest accounts to email, Slack and your CRM. Here is every feature in detail.

One lightweight script, installed once

Identification starts with a single async script tag. Paste it into your site template or publish it through your tag manager. It is under 10 KB and loads after the page, so your page speed and Core Web Vitals stay where they are. One snippet covers every page of the website, and plans include 1, 3, 10 or unlimited websites depending on the tier.

  • Async loading, after the page content
  • Works through a tag manager or a direct script tag
  • No third-party cookies required
  • Consent mode support for the cookie manager you already use

Company-level matching with honest coverage

Each visit is matched against business IP ranges using a licensed B2B IP-to-company data set. When the network belongs to a company, the visit joins that company profile. Residential, mobile carrier and known VPN ranges are excluded and stay anonymous, so the product never guesses at home users. Your report shows the matched share of your own traffic.

We identify companies only. There are no named people, no email addresses and no personal profiles. Learn the difference on identify anonymous website visitors.

A 0 to 100 score that reflects buying intent

Every company gets an interest score from 0 to 100. Page weights matter most: pricing, demo or trial, case study and comparison pages weigh more than blog posts or careers pages. Recency, return visits and the number of sessions push the score further.

More on lead scoring for website visitors.

  • Starter uses well-tuned default weights
  • Growth and up lets you edit the weight of every page group
  • Scale runs multiple scoring models, for example one per product line or region

Hot company alerts in email and Slack

See how alerts are configured on website visitor alerts and the Slack integration.

  • Email digest of hot companies, daily on Starter and real-time on Growth and up
  • Slack channel messages with the pages a company viewed, on Growth and up
  • Filters by industry, company size, country and score
  • Custom alert rules on Scale
  • Routing by territory on Enterprise

Keep only the accounts that matter

  • ICP filter by industry, employee range, country and score
  • Exclude existing customers and competitors
  • Exclude your own office IPs so your team never shows up
  • Saved segments that the whole team can reuse

Privacy controls built into the product

Usage counts identified companies in the billing period: each company counts once per month, and deleting a company never frees a slot. At your limit, new companies wait until the next period or you move up a plan, while alerts for companies already identified keep coming. Read privacy-first visitor identification for the full picture. This is not legal advice.

  • An opt-out page for your visitors
  • IP truncation option
  • Data retention setting, 13 months by default
  • Notice text templates for EU and California
  • Respect for Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals when you turn it on
  • DPA on request

Put every feature to work on your own site
