VisitorDetector

Pipedrive website visitor tracking

Pipedrive keeps your team focused on the next activity. VisitorDetector adds the missing signal: which companies are reading your website right now. Identified companies arrive in Pipedrive as organizations, and their visits arrive as activities, so the next best action shows up where your reps already plan their day.

Organizations and activities in Pipedrive

Small sales teams often run their whole pipeline in Pipedrive. With this integration, a founder or account executive can see that a target organization read pricing twice this week and schedule a follow up from the same screen.

  • Organizations: each identified company is matched to an existing organization by domain, or added as a new organization if you allow it
  • Activities: when a company meets your rules, an activity is created on the organization for its owner, with the pages viewed, the entry source and the interest score
  • Custom fields: employee range, interest score and last seen are written to organization fields you can filter and sort on

No duplicate organizations

VisitorDetector checks Pipedrive for an organization with the same domain before it writes anything. If one exists, it updates that organization and adds the activity there, so deals, people and notes your team linked to it stay connected. A new organization is created only when no match exists and you have turned creation on. Companies you exclude, such as existing customers and competitors, are never synced. No person records are created, because identification is company level only.

A routine that fits a small sales team

If you are new to scoring, start with the default page weights and adjust later. The website visitor lead scoring page explains how weights, recency and return visits combine.

  • Filter organizations by interest score above 60 and last seen this week
  • Let activities land in each owner's list when an organization visits pricing or a comparison page
  • Exclude current customers in VisitorDetector so the activity list stays about new business
  • Add website visitor alerts in Slack or email for the companies that need a same day response

Only company level data reaches Pipedrive

VisitorDetector identifies companies, never named people, so the integration writes to organizations and activities only. No person records, no email addresses and no personal profiles are created. Home, mobile and VPN traffic stays anonymous and is never synced. Visitors can opt out on our opt-out page, and your retention setting, 13 months by default, controls how long visit history is kept. More detail is on the privacy-first page.

Self-service on Growth and up

Connect Pipedrive from the integrations settings in your account, sign in with a Pipedrive user that can edit organizations and create activities, choose which companies to sync and save. The integration is included on Growth ($199 per month, or $99 per month billed yearly), Scale and Enterprise. Starter includes CSV export for manual imports. See all website visitor identification integrations or the pricing page.
