Website visitor lead scoring

VisitorDetector gives every identified company an interest score from 0 to 100, built from the pages it reads, how recently it came back and how many sessions it has had. Your team stops guessing which visits matter and starts each morning with a ranked list of companies that are actively researching what you sell.

A list of visits is not a list of priorities

Once you start identifying the companies behind website visits, the first problem is volume. A busy B2B site can surface hundreds of companies in a month. Some read one blog post from a search result and never return. Others read your pricing page twice, open a comparison page and come back three days later with a second person from the same office. Treating both the same wastes your best hours.

Website visitor lead scoring turns raw visit history into an order of work. The score answers one question: which company shows the strongest buying interest right now, based only on what it did on your own website.

  • One number from 0 to 100 per company, updated as new visits arrive
  • Built on behavior you can see in the visit history, nothing hidden
  • Works at company level, never on a named person

Four signals that drive the interest score

The score combines four signals that consistently separate research from curiosity. Each signal is visible in the company profile, so anyone on the team can see why a company ranks where it does.

A company that reads your pricing page, then a case study, then returns two days later to a comparison page will rise toward the top. A company that lands on a single article and leaves stays low, and that is the right outcome.

  • Page weights: pricing, demo or trial, case study and comparison pages weigh more than blog posts, careers pages or legal pages
  • Recency: a visit this morning counts more than a visit three weeks ago, and the score fades as activity stops
  • Return visits: a company that comes back on a different day is showing sustained interest
  • Number of sessions: repeated sessions across a period add weight, especially when they reach high intent pages

Pages sorted into intent tiers from day one

When you set up VisitorDetector, we read your homepage, sitemap and robots.txt and sort your real pages into intent tiers: pricing, demo or trial, comparison, case studies, product, docs, blog, careers and legal. Each tier starts with a default weight, so the score is useful from the first identified visit without any configuration work.

You can see this sorting before you create an account. Enter your website in the hero form and try the demo to see your own pages placed into tiers, next to a preview report.

Tune the score to how your buyers actually behave

Every business has a few pages that predict a deal better than anything else. For one team it is the integrations page, for another it is the security page that procurement reads late in the cycle. Scoring lets you reflect that.

Changes to weights apply to the score going forward, and the visit history behind each company stays intact. You can compare plans on the pricing page.

  • Starter uses the default weights for every tier
  • Growth lets you edit page weights, so you can raise a security page or lower a docs section that existing customers read daily
  • Scale adds multiple scoring models, for example one model per product line or one per market
  • Enterprise scoring is configured to your requirements

Turn the ranking into daily actions

A score only helps when it changes what your team does. VisitorDetector connects the score to the places where work already happens.

01

Sort and filter the company list by score, industry, employee range and country

02

Save segments such as companies in your ICP with a score above 60 that visited pricing this week

03

Exclude existing customers, competitors and your own office IPs so they never crowd the list

04

Trigger hot company alerts by email or Slack when a company crosses the score you choose

05

Send scored companies to your CRM through the HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive integrations on Growth and up

A common routine is simple: sales reviews the top of the list each morning, marketing uses saved segments for account based campaigns, and the CRM shows the score next to the account so nobody works from a separate spreadsheet.

What the score can and cannot tell you

The interest score measures behavior on your own website by companies we can identify. Visits from home networks, mobile carriers and known VPN ranges stay anonymous and are not scored. The report shows the matched share of your traffic, so you always know what part of your audience the ranking covers.

The score is a prioritization signal, not a promise that a company will buy. It works best combined with what your team already knows about fit, timing and existing relationships. To understand how identification works underneath, read how it works.

Rank your website visitors by buying interest

Create an account with your work email, add one async script tag and the score starts building from the first identified visit. Plans start at $49 per month, or $24 per month billed yearly.
