Slack website visitor alerts without the noise

A Slack channel is the fastest way to get buying interest in front of your team, and the fastest way to train people to ignore it. VisitorDetector posts hot company alerts to the channel you choose, with the pages viewed and the interest score, and filters them so every message is worth reading.

A Slack alert your team can act on

Each message is a compact card for one company.

01

Company name, website, industry, employee range and HQ location

02

Interest score from 0 to 100 and number of sessions

03

Pages viewed in the latest visit, with time on page

04

Entry source, such as a UTM campaign or referrer

05

LinkedIn company page link when available, and a link to the full profile in VisitorDetector

The goal is a decision in seconds: is this an account to reach out to today, one to watch, or one to ignore.

The usual reasons alert channels get muted

Most visitor alert channels fail for predictable reasons. They post every identified visit, including existing customers checking the login page. They include competitors researching your pricing. They count your own office as a visitor. They have no threshold, so a single blog visit looks the same as a pricing page session.

VisitorDetector handles each of these with filters you set once.

Filters that keep the volume sensible

Start with a score threshold that produces a handful of messages a day. If the channel is quiet, lower it. If people stop reacting, raise it. Our article on website visitor alerts in Slack walks through this tuning in more detail.

  • Minimum interest score, so only companies with real intent signals post
  • Industry, employee range and country, matching your ICP
  • Exclude existing customers, competitors and your own office IPs
  • Saved segments, such as a list of target accounts
  • One message per company per visit, rather than one per page
  • Scale adds custom alert rules, such as a pricing page visit plus a return within seven days
  • Enterprise adds routing by territory, so each region's channel only sees its own accounts

What never appears in a Slack message

Alerts describe companies, never named people. VisitorDetector does not identify individuals, collect email addresses or build personal profiles, so a Slack message never says who at a company browsed which page. Visits from home networks, mobile carriers and known VPN ranges stay anonymous and never trigger an alert. If you turn on IP truncation or honoring of Global Privacy Control signals, alerts follow those settings too. Read the privacy-first page for the full approach.

Connect Slack in a few minutes

Open the integrations settings in your VisitorDetector account, choose Slack, approve the app in your workspace and pick a channel. Then set the filters and save. You can connect several channels, for example one for enterprise accounts and one for mid-market, each with its own filters. Nothing is posted until a company matches.

Available on Growth and up

Slack alerts are included on Growth ($199 per month, or $99 per month billed yearly), Scale and Enterprise. Starter includes a daily email digest instead. See every alert option on the website visitor alerts page, all integrations, or compare plans on the pricing page.
