HubSpot identify website visitors integration
HubSpot tracks the contacts who fill in your forms, but most B2B visitors never do. VisitorDetector identifies the companies behind those anonymous visits and writes them into HubSpot as company records with timeline events, so your team sees which accounts are researching you without leaving the CRM.
Company records and timeline events in HubSpot
When VisitorDetector identifies a company visiting your website from a business network, the HubSpot integration does two things.
Reps open a company in HubSpot and see a dated trail of website activity next to their emails, calls and deals. Marketing can build HubSpot lists and workflows on the synced properties, for example companies with a score above 70 in a target industry.
- It creates or updates the company record with profile fields such as name, domain, industry, employee range and location
- It adds timeline events to that company with the pages viewed, time on page, entry source and the current interest score
Matched to existing records by domain, no duplicates
Duplicate company records are the fastest way to lose trust in a CRM. VisitorDetector matches by company domain. Before creating anything, the integration looks for an existing HubSpot company with the same domain name. If it finds one, it updates that record and adds the timeline events there. It creates a new company only when no record with that domain exists.
- One company in HubSpot per domain, the one your team already owns
- Owners, lifecycle stages and deal associations on existing records stay untouched
- Companies you exclude in VisitorDetector, such as current customers or competitors, are not synced
- No contact records are created, because identification is company level only
Default field mapping
The default mapping sends the company profile and the intent data into standard HubSpot company properties and a small set of VisitorDetector properties.
| VisitorDetector field | HubSpot company property |
|---|---|
| company.domain | Company domain name |
| company.name | Name |
| company.industry | Industry |
| company.employee_range | VisitorDetector employee range |
| company.country | Country/Region |
| company.region | State/Region |
| company.linkedin_url | LinkedIn company page |
| score | VisitorDetector interest score |
| first_seen | VisitorDetector first seen |
| last_seen | VisitorDetector last seen |
| sessions | VisitorDetector sessions |
On Scale and Enterprise, custom field mapping lets you point any of these fields at properties your team already uses in reports and workflows.
Workflows your team can build on the data
Because the data lives on company records, it works with the HubSpot features you already rely on.
For real-time notifications outside the CRM, pair HubSpot with Slack website visitor alerts. To understand the score itself, read about website visitor lead scoring.
- Active lists of ICP companies with a recent pricing page visit
- Workflows that create a task for the company owner when the interest score crosses your threshold
- Company views sorted by VisitorDetector last seen for weekly account reviews
- Reports that compare website interest across target accounts
Connect HubSpot from your account
Setup is self-service and takes a few minutes. Open the integrations settings in your VisitorDetector account, choose HubSpot, sign in with a HubSpot user who can manage company properties and approve the requested access. Then pick which companies to sync, for example all identified companies or only a saved segment, and save. Syncing starts with the next identified visit.
Available on Growth and up
The HubSpot integration is included on Growth ($199 per month, or $99 per month billed yearly), Scale and Enterprise. Scale adds custom field mapping and API access. Starter includes CSV export, which you can import into HubSpot manually. See all website visitor identification integrations or compare plans on the pricing page.
