Identify anonymous website visitors at company level
Almost every B2B website has the same blind spot: most visitors read, compare and leave without filling in a form. VisitorDetector helps you identify anonymous website visitors at company level, so you learn which businesses are researching you without collecting anything about individual people.
Why most visitors stay anonymous
Forms convert only a small slice of the people who read your site. Everyone else, including buyers who read your pricing page three times, stays an anonymous session in analytics. That is not a failure of your website. B2B buyers research quietly and talk to vendors late.
The fix is not more pop-ups. It is knowing which companies are behind the sessions, so you can reach out to the accounts that are already interested.
Think about a typical week. A target account sends three people to your site: one reads the product page, another opens a case study, a third checks pricing twice. None of them books anything. Without company-level identification those are three unrelated sessions. With it, they are one account showing clear interest, and your rep can reach out with context instead of a cold pitch.
Anonymous visitor identification without personal data
VisitorDetector matches the visiting network to a company using a licensed B2B IP-to-company data set. When a visit comes from a business network we can match, you see the company. You never see a person.
This is the difference between company-level and person-level identification, explained further on company-level vs person-level visitor identification.
- Company name, website, industry and employee range
- HQ country and region, LinkedIn company page link when available
- Pages viewed, time on page, entry source and sessions
- No names, no emails, no personal profiles, no third-party cookies required
Some visitors should stay anonymous, and they do
Residential, mobile carrier and known VPN ranges are excluded. Someone browsing from home, on a phone or through a VPN is never matched, and we do not guess. We identify the share of visits that come from business networks we can match, and your report shows that matched share for your own traffic. No product can honestly name every visitor, and we do not claim to.
- Office and corporate networks can be matched
- Home internet, mobile carriers and VPNs are excluded
- The matched share is measured on your traffic, never promised
Turn identified companies into conversations
Once a company is identified, its visits add up into one profile with an interest score from 0 to 100. Pricing, demo, case study and comparison pages weigh more, and return visits and recency push the score up. The warmest companies reach you as an email digest (daily on Starter, real-time on Growth and up) or as Slack messages with the pages viewed on Growth and up.
Filter out existing customers, competitors and your own office, then sync the rest to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive. See website visitor alerts and lead scoring.
Because every visit from the same company joins the same profile, your team sees the full research journey: which page came first, what they read next, how long they stayed and when they returned. That context makes the first message relevant, for example mentioning the integration page they read rather than sending a generic introduction.

Questions about anonymous visitor identification
Can you tell me the name of the person who visited
No. VisitorDetector identifies companies only. It never names a person and never provides email addresses.
Will remote workers be identified
Usually not. Remote workers on home connections are on residential ranges, which are excluded. Staff working from an office network can be matched.
Do I need to change my website
No. You add one async script tag under 10 KB, directly or through your tag manager. It loads after the page.
How many companies will I see
It depends on your traffic and on where your buyers browse from. Your report shows the matched share of your own visits. More answers are on the FAQ.
